Feb 6th: 联谊会号召大家为雪灾捐款

亲爱的朋友们：
百年一遇的暴风雪袭击了中国南部大片地区。受灾地区交通运输、能源供应、电力传输、通讯设施等出现不同程度的中断，当地人民群众的生命财产安全受到严重影响。在此，DCSSA执委会号召我们海外学子我们团结起来，和灾区的同胞，和抗灾的各界人民一起，为减少灾情造成的损失做出自己的一点贡献。

杜克中国学生学者联谊会将在本周六的春节联欢会上开设捐款台，接受大家的爱心奉献。我们接受现金和支票，支票请付给“Duke CSSA”。我们将汇总筹集到的捐款，汇往中国红十字会总会www.redcross.org.cn。

Dear Friends:

As you might already have heard, southern China has being suffered from snow storms since mid-January. The affected areas are vast, the economic loss huge, and the suffering of the people painfully tremendous. The government at all levels in China as well as the Chinese people are rallying all their strength to combat this record-breaking natural disaster. The world community also has been pledging its support to help people of China to tide over this harsh time. More snow storms have been forecast for the coming weeks in China. As courageous as the Chinese people are in fighting this unprecedented disaster, they can use each and every pledge of assistance coming from outside of China.

DCSSA is now calling on our community to show support by donating whatever amount you can give to help China in their brave fight against this humanitarian crisis.

All donations received on your behalf will be forwarded 100% to the Red Cross Society of China for no other purpose but use by and for the China Snow Disaster Relief.
