Jan 12th: 医学汉语辅导招募志愿者

DCSSA一直致力于和其他组织加强联系，并借此扩大我们华人社区在杜克校园的影响力。从本学期开始，DCSSA将和杜克华裔医学生联合会(DMCS)合作，一起筹办第一期医学汉语培训项目，以满足部分杜克华裔医学生希望学习一些基本医用中文词汇的需要。DCSSA现向杜克的中国人社区招募辅导志愿者(以普通话为主)。课程将会大部分安排在午饭时间，约一个小时，每月两次。辅导人员是自愿服务，但是DMCS会为每人提供午餐。每个辅导员会有3~4个学生。如果你愿意参加这个项目，请email回复到dcssa2008@gmail.com，并在标题上注明”Medical Chinese Tutors”. 请在email里写明你的姓名，联系方式(phone, email), 杜克所在系及项目(本科/硕士/博士)。

由于他们学习的是最基础的医学名词(例如：吃药，感冒等），所以志愿者的专业不限。任何有兴趣和医学院这些亚裔学生交流，同时学习一些简单英文医学名次的朋友们都可以报名。

Medical Chinese Tutors Wanted (DCSSA)

DCSSA and Duke medical Chinese students (DMCS) have initiated a medical chinese venture. A group of Duke medical school students need to learn some basic medical Chinese vocabulary. So DCSSA is now recruiting Chinese-speaking (mandarin) tutors for this program. Classes will be held mostly during lunch time and will last for about one hour (twice a month). Tutors are volunteers but DMCS will buy every tutor lunch. Every tutor will probably have 3~4 students to teach. If you are interested participating in this venture, please reply to dcssa2008@gmail.com and indicate “Medical Chinese Tutors” in the subject. Please include your name, contact information (phone, email), Duke department and program (undergraduate/MS/PhD, etc.) in the email.
